# How to create a QR code with Scanmelon

## Steps

1. **Open the generator** on the Scanmelon homepage. You design in the browser, without an account.
2. **Choose color and style.** Set the module color and pick rounded, square, or dots. Keep contrast high against the background so scanners can read the code.
3. **Optional: logo in the center.** Upload a simple logo. Scanmelon keeps a light zone so the code stays scannable.
4. **Add the destination.** Put the URL (or other content) behind the code. Choose dynamic if you want to change the link later without reprinting.

## What you can encode

Usually a website, menu, form, or payment link. Keep the URL short and check it before print. For flyers, packaging, or business cards, a dynamic QR code is useful: the print stays the same if the page later moves.

## Print tips

Export at high resolution, leave a quiet zone around the code, and test with a phone camera. Dark modules on a light background scan better than the reverse. A logo in the center is fine if the mark stays small and simple.
